Video: Miguel Talks Kaleidoscope Dream x His Relationship Status

Miguel sat down with Raheem DeVaughn on his radio show to talk about his album Kaleidoscope Dream.

He explained the meaning of the title Kaleidoscope Dream, saying of it “being a metaphor for life, everyone’s living their own Kaleidoscope Dream. And This is the soundtrack to mine.” Miguel feels like there’s a disconnect with who he is and how people see him.

It really begins with me feeling with me feeling there’s a huge disconnect with who I really am in real life and the way that I was being perceived and I was being projected. And It was really important to me to give people a honest and clear and concise projection of my life style. That’s really at the epitome of where the album is coming from, Trying topaint the picture properly and give people a honest take on who Miguel really is in my daily life and lifstyle and so on.

He then proceeded to give a preview of some of the songs and telling the story behind it.

We just lost the feel of what genres are, Kaleidoscope Dream is really me stretching and trying to establish the fact that there are no rules, and the canvas is made to be painted on, there’s no lines to color within.
